Contents: In order to promote the transformation of undergraduates'learning approaches and foster undergraduates'higher-order abilities, this paper proposes a theoretical hypothesis that"knowledge construction can promote the transformation of undergraduates'learning approaches effectively", based on analysing the problems existing in learning approaches performed by undergraduates, as well as mastering the learning metaphor implied in knowledge construction. Taking Jiangxi Normal University as an empirical case, it investigates the problems exsiting in the learning approaches and knowledge construction by undergraduates. The paper also explores some useful strategies of knowledge construction from the perspective of knowledge construction pattern—individual knowledge construction and collaborative knowledge construction, as well as the learning environment design, in order to transform undergraduates'learning approaches effectively.This paper consists of five chapters.Chapter 1 Introduction Based on analysing the development of the technology, education and the discipline, this chapter proposes relevant research questions, and describes the research significance and theoretical basis, as well as research methodology.Chapter 2 Literature Review. According to researching problems, this chapter devotes to the literature analysis on the research status of knowledge construction and undergraduates'learning approaches both at home and abroad.Chapter 3 Theoretical Hypothesis: Knowledge Construction can Promote the Transformation of Undergraduates'Learning Approaches By analysing the definition of knowledge and classification, the view of knowledge in constructivism and the connotation of knowledge construction, this chapter explores the concept and characteristics of knowledge construction, the differences between traditional learning and knowledge construnction, and the way of knowledge construction, It also expounds the concept and transformation trends of learning approaches, and proposes the theoretical hypothesis that"knowledge construction can promote the transformation of undergraduates'learning approaches".Chapter 4 The Investigation and Conclusion of a Case Taking Jiangxi Normal University as an empirical case, this chapter investigates the problems exsiting in the learning approaches and knowledge construction by questionnaires and interviews , and analyses the results of investigation.Chapter 5 The Research on Strategies of Knowledge Construction: the Perspective of Construction Pattern and Learning Environment Designing This chapter proposes the strategies of knowledge construction from the perspective of learning environment designing, and explores the processes and strategies of individual knowledge construction and collaborative knowledge construction.
