Study On Investment In Senior High School Education By Farmer Families Of China

Nine-year compulsory education system has been implemented universally almost all over China up to now. The education of senior high school as well as higher education in China becomes more popular than ever in China. The education and HR development whereof is accordingly promoted rapidly. Considering the farmers' economic burden caused by education, the government pays special supervisory to the cost of the non-compulsory and higher education and make differential proportion of cost burden between individual family and the government, although the tuition is limited strictly.However the data of individual cost on senior high school of rural or urban family in Jiangxi including Ganzhou is not easy to find. For this reason, the writer tried this survey on the senior high school cost by individual family in Ganzhou, Jiangxi. The difference between rural and urban family about education cost is shown in this survey, which will supply the basic data to the reaction for competent administrations who decide the percents of educational cost and the reasonable tuition. The survey is also to provide some advice to the policy makers and relevant researches.According to th analysis, the senior high school education investment of rural family has following tendency.First, the level of understanding for the education of rural families is rising, the peasants can realize the importance of education clearly, hence , they can actively invest in the education for their children, Second, the goal of investment is clearer and more definite , the educational investment not only supplies conditions for the children to realize floating population, but also lay a necessary foundation for their employment. Third, it may be ironed out that the education investment, expectations ,choices,sex and age distinction of the rural family regarded as seriousnes. Fourth, the rural families can realize the importance of profession and technical education , thus professional and technical education, especially in agriculture , will be stengthened. Fifth, the eugnics and its institution can improve the ideas of the rural family education and increase the parents's education of the new generation and push the senior high education to spread all over the country and control the illiterate person number.
