Status Analysis And Cultivation Study On Contemporary College Students' Attitudes And Behaviors Towards The Elderly

With the increasing pace of China's entry into the aging society, undergraduates who are important components of contemporary young people will soon become "the old-age generation". Contemporary undergraduates are regarded as the main body of the future old-age. Their attitudes and behaviors to the elderly are on behalf of the basic attitudes and behavior of the young generation to the old people. Their understanding to caring for the elderly and practice for themselves will play an exemplary role in the whole society and will also influence on the direction of Chinese traditional morality. But reasonable and proper attitudes need to be cultivated. This paper sums up contemporary undergraduates' attitude towards the elderly and behavioral characteristics by the survey to the current situations of their attitude and behaviors towards the old people and education status , and analyses the problems existing in their attitude and behavior education and the causes of the problems, which reflects the Chinese traditional moral example in caring for the elderly and filial piety culture that is considered as an important pillar in the future families old-age model have influences on the young generation. From the study the author hopes to reflect the elder's position in current times and the future long time, as well as choices of future old-age model and work emphasis of aging in future. On this basis it discussing the cultivating measures on the view of the combining environments which influences the college students' attitudes and behaviors towards the elderly and the undergraduates and etcetera.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is the study significances and interrelated summaries. The second part discusses research methods. The third part analyzes the results of the survey. It mainly includes the status of contemporary undergraduates' and analysis of related factors, specific performances of contemporary undergraduates' attitudes and behaviors to the elderly, the understanding of contemporary undergraduates to the current situations of the aging problems, the state of education on contemporary undergraduates' attitudes and behaviors to the elderly , the old-age concept of contemporary undergraduates, the understanding of contemporary undergraduates on cultivation of attitudes and behaviors towards the elderly. Comprehensive discussions and cultivation countermeasures are the fourth part, which mainly includes analyses of strengths and deficiencies existing in contemporary undergraduates' attitudes and behaviors towards the old people, summarized analyses of their other attitudes and behaviors related to the elderly, problems in education of their attitudes and behaviors towards the old people and analyses .The fifth part is cultivation countermeasures, it is mainly discussing the cultivating measures on the view of the combining environments which influences the college students' attitudes and behaviors towards the elderly and the undergraduates and etcetera.
