The Attitude To The Traditional Filial Piety And Famillism Of College Student

Traditional filial piety and familism are two important components of Chinese traditional culture, however, the research on both, the former is focused on ethics, history, culture, science and other fields of moral education. The latter focuses on economics. But the study from a psychological point of view of both is less. For that reason, this study explored college students'traditional filial piety, their familism and the relationship between them, using a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, from a psychological point of view.This study is divided into two parts. In the first part, do a survey on 510 students by using the traditional filial piety and family attitude scale, and explore the relationship between them. In the second part, try to study the understanding of filial piety, the need for the existence of traditional filial piety and family's understanding through interviews, as well as the relationship. The final conclusion is as follows: (1)Gender differences in cognition of respect and care pro- and care of their own sacrifice, in the will of caring their own sacrifice ,suppression of the will of their own pro-Shun, respecting and caring pro-hard pro-wing achieved significant level.Students of non-only-child scored significantly higher than only-child college students in cognitive scale in the personal care of their own festival to study and care for the pro-wing pro-, and in the wishes of the individual Get-Together Dear loved ones scale, retaining the pro-wing pro-.Students from rural significantly higher than urban students in perception of the suppression of personal. In students'attitude to traditional filial piety, there is no significant difference in different grades.(2) In the wish of family unity and harmony and the emotion of familism, there is no significant gender difference. Students of non-only-child are higher than the students of only child in the perception of unity and harmony, multiply family, prosperous family financial situation, and in the wishes of unity and harmony, the prosperity of two dimensions of family financial situation. Students from rural are higher than from urban in the perception of unity and harmony, prosperous family financial situation, in wishes of unity and harmony. In students perception of prosperous family financial situation, there are remarkable differences in grades. Other differences are not significant. (3) Students'perception and willingness of get-together dear loved ones, pro-Shun, take care of their own festival to study and care for the pro-wing pro- significantly correlated with the understanding and willingness of unity and harmony, multiply family, prosperous family financial situation. Regression analysis showed that get-together dear loved ones, pro-Shun, take care of their own festival to study and care for the pro-wing pro- can evidently and positively predict unity and harmony. Suppression person can positively predict multiply family. Suppression of the will of their own pro-Shun and caring pro-hard pro-wing pro positively predict prosperous family financial situation. The positive emotion to college students'traditional filial piety positively and obviously predicts familism feeling.
