In 2001, Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China specified"New Curriculum Standard of High School"which lists"process and method"as one of the objectives of three dimensional teaching goals. This changes people's ideology that only"knowledge and techniques should be emphasized.Physical education should not only the teaching about physical knowledge,but also the teaching of process and method.Because scientific method is the most important research method and ideological method. As an important scientific methods, mathematical method is widely used in physics and other natural sciences, therefore, it should be mastered by students.Because of these reasons,it is essentially important for senior middle shool students to learn,master and understand mathematical method.First of all,the present study presents a definition about mathematical method,which is based on related literature review, at the same time,it analyzes the features of mathematical method ,summarizes the function of mathematical methed, in physics,and then focus on the importance of mathematical methed for middle school students'development,modifying most teacher'wrong understanding of mathematical methed under the exam-orientation environments.Second,based on new textbooks of senior school,the present study summarizes the common mathematical methed in high school physics and explain them with enough examples,which will lay a solid foundation for the construction of mathematical methed in teaching. Third, based on the previous theories, psychology and constructivism, then combining the features of mathematical methed,the present study propose some possibilities about the adoption of mathematical methed in physics.Forth,with the help of teaching experiment,the present study makes a preliminary test about the proposed teaching model .In teaching experiment,questionnaire and test are used to gather information about students'understanding and attitudes towards mathematical methed. The analysis of data proved the officiency and feasibility of the two proposed teaching modle.
