Geometry mathematics curriculum in primary and secondary schools has been the focus of the reform. A new round of curriculum reform of basic education will be "a preliminary knowledge of geometry" to expand the "Space and Shape". From the first year of primary school began a systematic arrangement, plate study.Geometric knowledge from being over-reliant on length, area and volume calculations, emphasis on cultivating logical thinking ability of students to attach importance to the improvement of the overall quality of students. The concept of space and geometric intuition has been an unprecedented emphasis. "Standard" from the knowledge and skills, mathematical thinking, problem-solving, emotion and attitude to the target areas in order to meet future development needs of students. The specific content and to expand into four aspects: knowledge of graphics, surveying, graphics and transform as well as graphics and location.Teaching the content of the two versions of the basic structure is the same: are the main line of graphics based on the contacts and knowledge of the psychological characteristics of children, interspersed with the arrangements for volume measurement, and location of graphics, graphics and content of transformation in three areas. In this study, carried out in two major areas: 1. in the geometry of the curriculum reform of the international context, to the mainland and Hong Kong's geometry curriculum standards in the curriculum, teaching materials both for comparison. 2. summing up the continent and primary school mathematics curriculum in the geometric part of the course curriculum requirements, make recommendations on materials. In this paper, preliminary findings are:1. Both courses emphasize the development of standards for all students in the cultivation of the sense of space, the life of students in problem-solving skills, awareness of the development of mathematical applications in order to promote the ability of students to develop logical thinking. Courses require the mainland to study the nature of the basic features of geometric shapes.Course requirements in Hong Kong to learn a variety of cylinder, cone, sphere and the nature of the various plane graphics features, have learned much broader scope than the mainland, especially for the use of measuring tools and graphics to a higher production requirements.2. Materials focus on the mainland of the logical structure of knowledge, to prepare well, showing the manner in which knowledge can be better for students to understand and accept. Hong Kong thinking active materials, the form of vivid, more flexible approach, but the performance of the logic is not strong; focus on mathematics in real life applications. So that students do have a stronger capacity and the ability to solve practical problems. 3. Two versions of the type of materials rich in exercises, suitable for primary school age characteristics and features of heart development. After obtaining the above conclusions, the author analyzes the curriculum in Hong Kong between the mainland and the reasons for differences, and in this course based on the mainland is open to question some of the places, such as setting the course content, scheduling and other exercises.
