Reading is an important part of a person's life. The basic ability of a person includes reading comprehension, which is a basis for all learning activities and absolutely necessary for school life and work. In fact, communication with others is also a kind of reading, one in a broad sense. It not reads characters but a life experience.Chinese tests are exquisite articles chosen by literary masters elaborately so that Chinese lessons, like magnet, draw the attention from the students. A good experienced Chinese teacher should have the capability to guide the students to experience the life by stepping into the scene of text, teaching them reading methods, which will be the lifelong wealth for a student. Nevertheless in the real situation, a lot of students do not like Chinese lessons, they neither know how to read the article nor understand profound ideological implication of the author, let alone take enjoyment in reading, thus resulting in bad reading achievements.Reading is process of emotional experience of a person and that of conversations and soul communications between the reader and author. Reading process can be only conducted by nobody but reader itself. Therefore we may say that reading achievements are directly effected by the intelligence factors, non intelligence factors and problem - solving abilities that reader itself possesses (that is in different cases, the ability to select and use reading strategy).Furthermore, with the rapid development of Chinese economy and society, the Chinese people have increasingly job and life stresses; environment influences from society, school and family make people have little time to read classical masterpiece. A large part of snack pattern culture occupies the current consumer in culture and image information such as movies and TV and so on substitute reading. Lacking of reading atmosphere in society that certainly will influence student's reading enthusiasm makes it impossible for them to get into the reading habit.However effective reading teaching method is a shortcut to helping students improve the reading achievements. Although reading is a process that reader experiences and understands, the teacher's guidance is necessary and effective as well when the students lack reading strategy and do not know how to experience the reading, therefore teacher's guidance is also one of the reasons that influences student's reading efficiency.This paper analyzes internal and external factors that influences reading academic achievement based on the essence of reading and puts forward diagnosis and strategy to improve the reading achievements.
