Analysis On Construction Of College Dormitory Culture

Dormitory culture is an important part of campus culture. It is the total of material cultural, spiritual cultural, institutional culture and behavior culture, and is based on the college students, realized by dormitory activities. It is a kind of group culture which is formed by living and learning togetherThis paper focuses on the connotation and the character of college dormitory culture. It discusses the function and present status of college dormitory, and treats the framework of college students dormitory culture as the foundation. This article is divided into four parts:In the first part, we illustrate the connotation and the character of college dormitory culture. Dormitory culture is an important part of campus culture. It is the sum of institution, dormitory spirit, cultural activities and cultural environment which are formed already and have their own characteristics. College dormitory culture is the specified culture. It has five basic features of dynamic, open, epidemic, infection and educational and social diversity.In the second part, we analyze the functions of college dormitory culture. As a sub-system of campus culture,college dormitory culture has the functions of education-oriented,normative constraints,group cohesion,psychological adjustment. The positive and healthy dormitory culture is helpful for students in learning the professional and cultural knowledge,enhance the ability of the students to adapt to the environment. In addition,it can prompt the formation of healthy personality and the correct ideas of moral values.In the third part,we analyze the present students of college dormitory culture. The college dormitory culture has a very important influence on healthy growth of students. However,for various reasons,it still has some problems in constructing the college dormitory culture.In the fourth part, we propose the principles and the framework of college dormitory culture construction. College dormitory culture construction should develop based on systematic, opening, and main body. College dormitory culture construction should be on students, treats creating a beautiful campus environment and a variety of cultural activities as the main content, the dormitories and the environment around as the main space for activities, the civilization on campus as the main features, the good hostel culture as the fundamental sign. Preliminarily construct the five foundamental frameworks of college dormitory culture.
