| How to teach students in accordance with their aptitude,especially to the gifted and talented students,is a kind of changes and problems for various schools of all levels in every country. Gifted and talented education in American public and privates schools highly developed and had various forms,but in recent years,homeschool as a form of gifted and talented education shows more rapid development.From the view of gifted and talented education which the domestic scholars have never attempted,this thesis tries to make a systematic introduction and analysis about the American gifted homeschooling on its implementation background,current situation, characteristics,cases and inspiration on the basis of the research results written by domestic and foreign scholars,using the literature method,factor analysis,case-study approach,comparison and induction method.This thesis aims to make our educational circles have a better understanding about the American gifted homeschooling,further grasp its situation and trend as well as the status and trend of gifted and talented education in America,and a deeper reflection for the current situation of gifted and talented education in China.The whole dissertation covers five parts.The first part is introduction,raises questions of research,reviews related literature at home and abroad,and design of this article is put forward based on these.The second part is the implementary background of American gifted homeschooling,mainly argues in two aspects,one is the emergence of Deschool Education ideological trend,the development of School Choice Movement and the legalization of homeschool as three social factors,the other is the three internal needs of gifted and talented students for challenging task,relaxed environment and appropriate guidance.The third part is the implement of American gifted homeschooling,begins with the three main themes as the implementers,students and educational media,discusses what is the characteristics of parents who choose to educate their gifted and talented children by the form of homeschool compared with others one,what education are received by gifted and talented children including the "two exceptional" children and "highly gifted" children in homeschool,and introduces what kind of curricula and teaching methods is used by gifted homeschooling.The part four is the characteristics and cases of American gifted homeschooling,analyzes the four characteristics of gifted homeschooling as really individuation,freedom of arrangement of time,strongly continuity and more close to life,analyzes and declares the cases as Kayla Garelick's girl who is kinesthetic gifted learners and Alexandra Swann who got master degree at sixteen.The part five is conclusion and inspiration,summarizes the considerations of parents who carry out gifted homeschooling about time,economic condition,educational media,socialization,education evaluation and entrance to college,analyzes inspirations to Chinese gifted homeschooling as well as possible further research is provided。... |
