A Research On Current Situation Of Soft Volleyball Sport Of Niversities And Colleges For Underraduates In Enan Province

With the advancement of teaching reform and quality education in colleges, guided by the principle of P.E "health first,college P.E develops rapidly.Colleges manage to meet the various demands of students by exploring all types of resources,adding P.E facilities,improving sports condition and adding new sports items.Many new sports items are popular with students when college P.E is designed as optional course in colleges. Supple volleyball,a new sports item,gains the favor of a majority of college students by its significant features.This study surveys the current situation of soft volleyball in 28 colleges of Henan province in order to learn soft volleyball playground,equipment,teachers, courses design,competition rules,the recognition degree of heads,and the interests of students.This study adopts the following researching methods such as data, questionnaire,interview,logic analysis,statistic evidences and so on.The study shows that soft volleyball develops gradually in the universities and colleges for undergraduates in Henan province in the forms of class learning,extracurricular activities,extracurricular training,competition.In terms of facilities,class teaching, extracurricular training and competition,soft volleyball is accepted by many college P.E teachers,but there are some obstacles to develop supple volleyball,which include that male students and female students are trained together in college P.E class,supple volleyball is only optional course,and college P.E teachers need special training on soft volleyball.Most teachers consider that supple volleyball not only has a high price but has a poor durability.However,students like soft volleyball class very much,moreover,female students like it more than male students.This study also shows that students play soft volleyball mere in P.E class or during extracurricular activities.Until now there are 10 colleges which have not designed the uniform curriculum standard for supple volleyball course,in which the teaching contents are decided by P.E teachers of themselves,and the teachers have no choice but to adopt the curriculum requirements and teaching materials of hard volleyball to teach volleyball.The maim factors affect volleyball negatively as follows:the recognition degree of colleges' heads,the quality of teachers,teaching methods,the interests of students,the equipment on the playground,the features of itself and the publicizing activities of medias.According to the present situation above this study puts forward some methods to improve the volleyball in colleges of Henan province,which will provide some reference ideas for other colleges in China.
