Research On The Concentration Degree Of Population Evaluation In Liaoning Province Based On GIS

Content: The regional population concentration is the synthetically factor of the main function division, and it is not only request the regional population concentration degree, but also is the basic request of the carrying capacity of regional resources and environment, regional exploitation density in existence and regional potential exploitation in the future. It is the important factor and the request of the optimum distribution of the main function division. Therefore, researching on the concentration of population, on one hand, is a major method to mark out the main functions division. On the other hand, it can control the relationship between people and region reasonably, promote the regional sustainable development.However, because of the poor accuracy, the traditional description population methods, which overlooked the space characteristics of the population, can not describe the functionality connection of people and space; it is not a good description of the population living density and can not satisfy the request of population concentration analysis. So we need to a new idea to express the distribution of population.Based on the main function division of Liaoning Province, on the terms of effects of land use to the population distribution, this article researches and analyzes the population concentration index of main function division in Liaoning Province. It expatiate inconsequence arithmetic of population concentration and population density and puts forward to a new scheme and then the article spatially distributes the population by the different types of land use on the population distribution theory. This changes the traditional method which counts population density according to statistics the population density method into uniform distribution, rules of the size of grid computing unit to population density, and it also can be more accurate, intuitive to reflect the population distribution, population concentration for analysis through GIS technology.
