With the quickening of the Modernization process, the surplus labor force in China's rural areas began to transmigrate from country to city on a large scale at the beginning of 1980s. As the large scale of the surplus labor force migrates, the education issue of their children has become more and more serious. Article 46 of Constitution of the People's Republic of China states that the citizens have the duty as well as the right to receive education. With the economical development and social progress, people's right consciousness is increasing ,and people have been begun to pay attention to the rights which have an affinity with them. Citizens' rights to receive education have come into sight of people, and play more and more important role. But according to the current situation and investigation from the country by the writer, the education of children in rural area has not aroused extensive concern from family, school, society and country, meanwhile there are also some issues that need to be resolved. To arouse people 's extensive attention on the education of children in rural area and take measures in light of actual conditions of the country is of great significance in theory and practice.This thesis researches mainly on the education of children in rural area.The main methods we used are documentation method and interview.The writer investigates the situation and causes of the education of children in rural area. The measures are presented which have particular theoretical and pragmatic meaning.The thesis consists of five parts: Part one is a brief introduction to this thesis, which explains the research background, methods and significance, in order to establish a certain foundation to deepen exception of the education of children in rural area.Part two firstly defines the conception of rural "left-behind children", and illustrates the survey about the concept,the subjects, the substance, the objects, the nature of citizens rights to receive education. Part three analysis the present situation of the rural left-behind children, the quality and amount, the information of the school, the teachers' attitude towards teaching and students, study and behavior of the students and so on.The problem of the rural left-behind children's education which will become more and more serious has become the social issue that is not appreciated according to the investigation and interview. Part four is about the analysis of reasons leading to the education unbalance of left-behind children. In accordance with the existing problems of rural left-behind children's education, this article provides analysis in depth from the government, school, law and family.Part five is the measures about the rural left-behind children's education. The article proposes the pointed measures according to the analysis of the reasons why the problems produce.
