Study On The Development Of Resource Database In University With Project Management Theory

The Action Plan issued by The Ministry of Education points out that the development of teaching resource is very important.The integrated and shared network teaching resource databse offers a good method to solve the resource dispersion problem.However,there are still many problems in the development of university teaching resource database,such as lack of unified planning and screening,unreasonable personnel arrangement,and lack of continuously undating system.Project Management Theory is a scientific and standardized management with the systematic application of managing methods and tools in the project activity.It helps to improve the performance of university teaching resource database development and solve the existing problems during the development.The paper firstly introduces the theory and methods of project management,which includes its basic process and knowledge,and its latest development.By analysing the problems existing in the four methods of university teaching resource database development, and combining the development of Jinan University teaching resource database,it then explains the problems existing in the development of university teaching resource databse,such as no detailed planning,incomplete personnel composition,imperfect quality insurance system and lack of long-term development consideration.It also emphasizes the importance of enough research,work structure breakdown,quality insurance,process control and apply effect during the different development stages,and expounds how to standardize the university teaching resource database development.With the results of the above researches and with the basis of project management theory,a new development pattern of university teaching resource database is established.The importance of science,administration and technology are emphasized in the pattern.In the implement step of monitoring and control,expert group deliberation is also set up to guarantee the cost control,progress control and quality control.All these helps to complete the development of university teaching resource database smoothly.The mentioned development pattern can be used for reference by other universities in similar projects.
