Since the found of People's Republic of China,education in minority regions has developed rapidly.But compared with Han Nationality,it is relatively dropping behind on the whole.Illiteracy exists especially seriously in 22 minorities with less population such as De'ang Nationality. Presently women take 2/3 of the rest illiteracy in China.As folklore says,educating a man only means educating one person,while educating a woman means educating a family.A mother's education level will have great influence on her children's study and health.Therefore,women literacy education in less populated regions not only can help illiterate women master life skills to improve their living standards,but also benefits for the advancement of social civilization in nationality areas and maintenance and development of traditional culture to further promote economic progress.The main object of the research is women of De'ang Nationality in dual disadvantaged position. It tries to push forward the implementation for literacy education of the special group to increase literacy efficiency via research.By field investigation,on the basis of understanding the current situation of women literacy education of De'ang Nationality,the writer analyzes and attributes to the existing problems,further discusses the purpose,literacy criterion,content,approachand method of women literacy education of De'ang Nationality.According to the theoretical analysis and combining with the practice of nationality areas,the paper puts forward some detailed proposals for women literacy education at the present stage.The main body of the paper consists of six chapters:Chapter one:field investigation of women literacy education of De'ang Nationality.Literacy education of De'ang Nationality is ultimately in a stagnant moment nowadays,and faced with some problems and difficulties although it has achieved a lot.They are as follows:the amount of rest illiteracy being rather large,re-illiteracy being severe,credible statistics being lack of;cognition and organization for women literacy education of the local government and educational administrative department being not at the best,including understanding its features being not enough and operation being not proficient;illiterate women being not learning positively;teaching content and method being short of innovation;schooling qualification being weak;practical literacy criterion having not been worked out yet,etc.Aiming at the above problems,the research starts with the historical culture element and praxis element to analyze the stagnant cause of women literacy education development of De'ang Nationality.In history,De'ang is a nationality with language but without word,who traditionally paid no attention to education,which resulted in a large number of illiteracy and was not favorable for women literacy education development.In reality,a series of factors such as slow economy,abominable living environment,dispersed inhabitants,poor education resource,women's viewpoints and so on are holding back the development of women literacy education too.Chapter two:purpose discussion about women literacy education of De'ang Nationality.Beginning with the analysis of literacy teleology from abroad and home,it brings forward that the gist of setting women literacy education purpose must take women's individual development and minority region development into account.There are dual purposes of women literacy education of De'ang Nationality.The fundamental purpose is to let illiterate women master basic primary reading,writing and calculating skills to satisfy and adapt to daily life;the ultimate purpose is gradually to change their unenlightened viewpoints and living manners,improve cultural qualities of the whole group,cultivate their rational attitude to the traditional consuetude to accelerate the inherit and progress of traditional culture of De'ang Nationality.Chapter three:literacy criterion discussion about women literacy education of De'ang Nationality.The actual literacy criterion is far away from the real situation of women literacy education of De'ang Nationality.Its literacy criterion should abide by principles of arrangement,otherness and materiality,examine from four aspects including the basic literacy ability,the basic mathematic ability,the basic earning knowledge and craftsmanship,the basic living knowledge and arts,so as to improve literacy quality.Chapter four:content discussion about women literacy education of De'ang Nationality.The content of women literacy education of De'ang Nationality involves in there major facets, including the fundamental knowledge,the practical technique and common sense of women life by following the tenets as pertinence,expansibility,practicability and nationality.The textbook is the carrier of content.Compiling and selecting such textbooks should hold some principles of ideology,scientism,applicability,earthliness and nationality to reasonably exploit.Chapter five:approach and method discussion about women literacy education of De'ang Nationality.
