Educational Competitiveness plays a special role in upgrading the comprehensive national strength of a country.In the practice of worldwide higher education,there is a close connection between higher education international competitiveness and national economy development.In 21st century when competition is fierce,a nation which wants to get continually,healthy national economy develop and win the competition of comprehensive national strength,must pay attention to education and human resource,especially the cultivation of top-ranking knowledge and intellectuals.This thesis try to compare the higher education international competitiveness of China and India,find out the strength and weakness of our country's higher education competitiveness,then propose relative countermeasures,hoping it would do contribution to enhance the higher education international competitiveness of our country.With the economy develop and raised of international status,China and India has become a hot issue for many researchers.Both as the fast growing economy and most population developing country,they share a lot of commonness.Scholars tend to compare tow country's economy and politic area,such as GDP,foreign investment,hi-tech industry and comprehensive national strength,and so on. However,few people have looked into their culture and educational area.However there are little research in the cultural and educational area.This thesis first looks back the history of the fast developed period of China and India when it happened in 1990th and from 1950th till 1990th.Though thereare some difference in time,they do influent the world in the same way,and that is the reason for scholars knee on compare China and India's higher education.Then concludes and sum up the principle and method of higher educational international competitiveness currently. Next we compare China and India's higher educational international competitiveness in four specific aspects,they are,educational scale,educational input, educational resource and educational efficiency.Meanwhile,we also consider tow substantial impact of higher educational International competitiveness;know as elementary education and aged tendency of population.Then we use SWTO method to analyze the conclusion.Last but not the least;discuss the countermeasures on how to improve the International competitiveness of our country's higher education.As the largest higher education system in the world,China and India are due to compete each other fiercely in this area.This thesis would contribute to rescan the status of our country's higher education and make effective countermeasure to promote the higher education international competitiveness.
