Research On The Design Of Standardized Mobile Learning Courseware Based On SCORM

In the information knowledge age, the need of our learning is growing and the pursuit of flexible and effective learning style is strongly day by day. Learning on the mobile phone at anytime and anywhere is becoming our naive and nice desire. In the recent years, with the rapid development of mobile communication technology and mobile calculation technique, mobile phone's commercial degree is higher and higher, and it begins to be owned by most of us as popular electronic consumption product. The popularization of mobile phone and the promotion of its technology provide good condition for mobile learning.The smoothly developing of mobile phone depends on the development of plentiful learning resources. However, at present the development technologies of mobile learning resources are various in kind, which leads to the depending of mobile learning courseware on the special operating system platform and poor performance in transplantation. Meanwhile, because of the deficiency of interaction between mobile learning courseware and learner and Mobile Learning Management System(MLMS), MLMS is difficult to trace the pace of learner and evaluate his learning effect. The reason of this is that most of mobile learning resources' development isn't following to the related learning resources construction standard. Therefore, the author referencesthe relatively mature resources construction standard in e-learning------SCORM, and tries todesign standardized mobile learning courseware to explore useful experience for the construction of mobile learning resources.By studying on the meaning of standardized mobile learning courseware, the paper discussed the technical standard and theoretical basis to design standardized mobile learning courseware, and further to propose five principles which should be followed in the design of standardized mobile learning courseware from three views: mobile learning, standardized and the technical features of mobile handhold devices. On the foundation of the reference of instruction design thought and method, this paper presented an instruction design framework of standardized mobile learning courseware based on SCORM, and taking "Chinese Medicine Compatibility" which belongs to the fundamental courses of Chinese Medicine for example, made instruction design and system design for standardized mobile learning courseware. Furthermore, in the aspect of standardized mobile learning courseware's implementation, according to the problem of the depending of mobile learning courseware on the special operating system platform and poor performance in transplantation, this paper used non-depended platform Flash Lite technology as its implementation tool. In the aspect of interaction implement, since SCORM demands that the content of courseware should be run in the browser with DOM structure and the communication between courseware and learning management system should be realized by ECMAScript, but at present most mobile phones don't support ECMAScript and most mobile browsers aren't able to play Flash in it, so this paper capsulated Web Service of SCORM RTE API and call it in the Flash Lite which is on the mobile phone to reach the aim of communication between mobile learning courseware and learning management system.
