The 21st century is the era of lifelong learning,, but also the era of the aging of the population, in which, the problem of aging learners is being concerned by more and more people. And with the development of community and community education, more and more elders come to the community school to learn something new and to keep in touch with the community. The leaning of the elders should be autonomous learning, and the community education for the elder should be good for the development of autonomous learning..The study is based on the disciplines of community education of adult education. With the research result of 'Development psychology in elder' and 'autonomous learning', qualitative research and quantitative will be used in the study. After the study on the theories, the P community school will be chosen as a sample, some aging learners in which are surveyed for their ability of autonomous learning.The article includes four chapters, as follow:Chapter one presents the backgrounds, explains the research ideas and research methods that will be used in the study, and shows some conclusions about the topic before.Chapter two explains some connotation and problems in the thesis to show that the aging learners should be autonomous learners and the autonomous learning of aging learners is different from that of other learners. And the community school facilitates the aging learners.Chapter there is the current situation of autonomous learning of aging learners in the P community school. Through the questionnaire, interview and participant observation, this chapter tries to display the current situation of the autonomous learning of aging learners in community school.Chapter four offers the strategies to support the aging learner' autonomous learning, from three aspects: curriculum development, environment settings and teaching process.
