| It is well-known that the development of education has much to do with one country's prosperity and decline, and the development of education for teachers is the basis of educational development. With the constant educational reforms, the education for teachers is gradually growing towards specialization, lifelongness and integration. Our country is attaching more and more importance to the education for teachers. At the 3rd Meeting of National Education, Jiang Zemin once deeply pointed out:"The rise and decline of one country rest with its educational development","The team of teachers with high qualities is one basic condition for high quality education", and he requires"The effective measures must be taken to build up the ranks of teachers, optimize the structure of teachers and improve the qualities of teachers. The Decisions on the Basic Education and Development by State Department emphasizes once more:"It is decisive for the implementation of quality education to build up a high quality team of teachers". In fact, the success or failure of the whole educational and teaching reforms is dependent on the reforms of the education for teachers. And the curriculum reform in the education for teachers is one of the main factors that decide the reform of the education for teachers. Therefore, the research on the curriculum reform in the education for teachers has important theoretical and practical significance for the development the education for teachers. Our government has already put forward new requirements on the innovation of the education for teachers and the improvement of teachers'quality. The 17th National Congress of the CPC pointed out:"It is our aim to give priority to educational development and build up a powerful country of human resources", and this is our new strategic task during the New stage to Build a Moderately well-off society. The Proposals on Carrying Forward the Curriculum Reform in the Education for Teachers and Teaching Reform Overall is now under brewing. In October, 2008, the Ministry of Education organized and held the 21st Meeting for Directors of Office of Academic Affairs from regional important Teachers Colleges and Universities. At the meeting, a topic study was specially arranged for the discussion of this document. Therefore, from the angle of the professional development for teachers, it is valuable to reform the curriculum design of the education for teachers, improve the quality of pre-duty education for teachers and increase the teaching abilities and levels of teachers in our country's basic education. Based on the curriculum problems of one Teachers College of Jilin Province, this paper aims to theoretically put forward some pointed, constructive and feasible proposals on the curriculum design in pre-duty education for teachers, especially the curriculum design in educational courses.This paper consists of six parts:First part: Preliminary Remarks. This part mainly explains the appearance of the questions, research background, scope, methods and thought. And it also offers the relevant definitions. Second part: Introduction of relevant curriculum theories. This part summarizes the relevant theories on current curriculum and curriculum of the education for teachers, with the purpose of solving the problems existing in the process of designing curriculum of the education for teachers.Third part:This part introduces the individual case about curriculum situation of the education for teachers in one Teachers College of Jilin Province and Fourth part:Problems existing in curriculum of the education for teachers and analysis of the factors giving rise to these problems. This part describes the main problems existing in the curriculum structure, content and implementation of our country's regional Teachers Colleges and Universities, and systematically analyzes the factors giving rise to these problems.Fifth part: Solutions to the problems in the curriculum of the education for teachers. According to the current problems in the curriculum of the education for teachers of our country's regional Teachers Colleges and Universities, this paper puts relevant solutions from such aspects as scientifically designing curriculum, optimizing curriculum structure, adjusting curriculum plan and so on.Sixth part: Conclusion and reflection. This part summarizes the theme of this paper and suggests realizing the curriculum reforms on education with a kind of systematical view. In addition, this part mentions some deficiencies existing in the research of this paper. |
