Childhood is a critical period which can form a good scientific inquiry ability. Thus this period of science education reform in China occupies a more and more important position. Children should start to explore things around them. It's good for children to really understand the science and love science. Children are very interested in the plants around them. The planting activity is also one part of scientific activities for children, So we did a series of planting experiments with the kidney beans. Experiments need the guidance of theory. Because children's activities can not be separated from social factors and interactions, we try to use the social constructivism theory to guide children's planting activities,.In this process, we want to analyze the understanding of 5-year-old children's knowledge about plant growth. This thesis was divided into three parts:The introduction of the thesis introduced the importance of the science education of early childhood.
