Study On The Status Of Vocational School's Principal's Management Ability In Ability Structure

After 30 years of reform and opening up,the Subject Position of market economy has been established.School,one of the subject types of economic and legal relationship in society,is inevitable to relevant business activities as to form a part of industry economy.Vocational schools have an intimate relationship with market.So,schools have been greatly influenced by economic laws.As the legal person of vocational school, principal should have corresponding characteristics,such as management consciousness, willing to take part in market competition and executive ability.Only by this way, schools can maintain or acquire its legal rights in business activities and can achieve an effective developmentn in society.This thesis deals with building the ability structure of principals according to the differences of principals' main work under two economic systems,say,planned economy and market economy.Vocational schools have its particularity,so there are some special requirements for its principals.The importance of management ability of a principal is becoming more and more apparent.This thesis provides comprehensive analysis on elements of a principal's management ability.That mainly includes the following dimensions:firstly,strategical thinking on development of schools and excellent planning ability;secondly,strong leadership skill and organization skill;thirdly,supervisor skill on education teaching; fourthly,the ability to control and monitor in classroom teaching;fifthly,the ability of Optimize-allocation,integration of human resources,assets and brand resources;finally, the ability of development through innovation,effectively using resources.According to the selection mechanism of vocational principals,the author put forward the countermeasures of improving the management ability of vocational principals from the following aspects:establish and improve the framework of ability assessment and personnel selection;more and better training for management;strengthen principals' performance assessment;select some reserve cadres to to go enterprise to study business administration.
