BOCOG's general goal is to host high-level Olympic Games and high-level Olympics with distinguishing features.To realize the goal,Audiences' participation to the Games,especially to the sports without much concern, is very important.The thesis study on the non-popular sports of the 2008 Olympic Games and its audiences' participation,adopt literature method,on-the-spot investigation,case analysis,mathematical statistic and logical analysis etc,to analyze the relations between audiences and the matches of the Games,the contents of China' s non-popular sports and its causes, the status of the audiences' participation in China non-popular sports and its causes,then put forward some corresponding tactics.The mainly conclusion of the thesis are:1.Audiences and the matches of the Games are intimate,audiences can influence the matches and also enjoy the performance;2.the non-popular ones of China include:baseball,softball,waterpolo, handball,weight lifting,hockey,judo,etc.;3.the non-popular events exit because its characters and its limit spread in China;4.the audiences' participation is not enough,passive and with simple channels,which causes by our traditional culture and lacking feasible directions.The corresponding suggestions are: 1.pay more attentions to the non-popular sports;2.study on the charaters of the non-popular sports and fnd out more channels for audiences' participation;3.cultivate more audiences of the non-popular sports;4.strengthen the Olympic education to attract more people' s attention;5.strengthen the cooperation with nongovernmental sports organizations to establish some audience groups of non-popular sports;6.strengthen the training on the volunteers and cultivate some specialized cheering-sections;7.increase the ratio of overseas specialized audience.
