Since 2004, the new high school curriculum reform has started to change the original single and passive learning ways in several provinces and autonomous regions of China. The core of the curriculum reform task is to establish the diverse learning ways of fully mobilizing students' learning initiative, fully exerting students' corpus and personalizing their study under the guidance of teachers. According to the "ordinary high school history curriculum standards", the organization of the Ministry of Education has compiled four versions of high school history textbooks in order to implement the curriculum reform of the concept. So our research contents should focus on how to improve the students' learning ways in the compilation of the textbook. Against that backdrop, the writer makes some basic explorations into the subject.This thesis is divided into two parts: The first part is to study the effect of the new system of textbooks on students learning ways. The biggest characteristic of the new textbooks' system is the adoption of thematic style in history. There are three advantages of the adoption which helps the students to change their leaning ways; the main ways and characteristics with this thematic style present in the new textbook ; the characteristics of the learning contents and the effects of the learning ways take on in the book. The second part includes the research about the changes of the stylistic rules and configuration and their effects on the shift of learning style in the new textbook. Compared to the original history book, the stylistic rules and configuration in the new text book change greatly in order to improve the students' learning ways. First it strengthens the structure of the auxiliary in the fundamental course. And then the perfection of the book in exploring activities strengthens the Student-oriented Function of the text book. The specific research includes introduction, charts, parentheses, exploring activities and so on, which helps the students improve their learning ways.According to the two parts study, we can make it clear that the characteristic compilation of the new textbooks and the achievements and limitations of improving the students' learning ways.
