Research On The Models Of The Communitization Of Higher Vocational College

With the quick development of economy and the adjustment of industrial structure, the importance of higher vocational education has become more prominent. However, the lack of characteristics in higher vocational education impedes its development. Based on the problem, this thesis adheres to the theme of "how to develop higher vocational education", and does research upon the Communitization of higher vocational colleges. This thesis argues that the effective way to develop characteristic higher vocational college is to base on local features, and to take the road of developing Communitization. Then taking school-founding system as breakthrough, through case study and theory construction, this thesis discusses the three model of the Communitization of higher vocational college in detail, namely, government-oriented, market-oriented and community-oriented models, and their advantages and disadvantages. Based on this analysis, this thesis suggests guarantee of these three models.This paper includes four parts. The first part proves the lack of characteristics in higher vocational college through literature review and analysis of the enrollment of twelve major college in Xiamen, and points out that higher vocational college must take the road of Communitization. The second part explains the significance and necessity of the Communitization of higher vocational college based on the experiences of American community college, and analyses three models of Communitization by means of the third-department theory; The third part discusses government-oriented and market-oriented models of Communitization by case study of Shunde and Huaxia Vocational College, and theoretically construct community-oriented model based on the practice of community-college in china; The last part analyzes closely advantages and disadvantages of these models and advices guarantee from the standing point of government, college and community.Major points and conclusion of this thesis: first, Communitization is the trend and effective way to develop characteristic higher vocational education; second, there are three models of Communitization: government-oriented, market-oriented and community-oriented; they push forward communitization by means of government planning, market mechanism and community-negotiation, respectively; third, the three models have their own advantages and disadvantages; they should be developed together, but with the development of citizen society, community-oriented model will be the final choice of the communitization of higher vocational college.
