Vocational college students’ ideological and political education effect is not ideal and is One of the important issues of higher vocational education in China is the less effective education in Ideology and Politics. To some extent, it has limited the development of higher vocational education and has a significant impact on talent training. Therefore, promoting the education in Ideology and Politics not only could help students to establish a correct outlook on life and values, but also is the requirement of both the reform of higher vocational education and achieving the goal of higher vocational education value. This study examines the issues and their causes and offers solutions of education in Ideology and Politics in higher vocational schools by analyzing its current situation and predicament through aspects such as substantial life, spiritual life and political quality of students. And by combining the needs of current social transformation, the study also analyzes the expansion of the content of the education in Ideology and Politics, the establishment of work ethic and the concept of legality, penetration of enterprise culture and channels of improving the level of work in education in Ideology and Politics.In the first part of the essay, the intension of education in Ideology and Politics in China is analyzed by addressing the concept and the goal of training of higher vocational education, the characteristics and contents of education in Ideology and Politics and the necessity of promoting the education throughout higher vocational schools, which includes the necessity of achieving the goal of training, adapting to the fast development of higher vocational schools and improving overall development of the students.Then based on the understanding of the intension of education in Ideology and Politics in China, there’s the empirical analysis of education in Ideology and Politics in Dongguan Vocational and Technical College. The analysis starts by introducing the background of the analysis. Then it addresses the understanding of the ideological state of the students in Dongguan Vocational and Technical College before starting the research, which mainly includes the introduction of the social reality and current situation and characteristics of education in present Dongguan, the idea of promoting education in Ideology and Politics, furthering the reform of education and improving the development of education can help pushing forward the coordinated development of local economy. After that it’s the research result of learning state and ideological state of the students in Dongguan Vocational and Technical College.Through the empirical analysis of education in Ideology and Politics in Dongguan Vocational and Technical College, further study on causes of issues brought up is addressed, which includes4aspects that have effects on it:social environment, school environment, teachers and the students.Finally, based on the result of the analysis, solutions and suggestions to perfect education in Ideology and Politics in China are offered, which are:optimize the social environment, improve school environment, push the construction of the team of teachers and enhance students’ understanding of the work of education in Ideology and Politics.
