The Institutional Analysis Of The Improving Of The Citywomen's Family Status

Through the three feminist movement,women has received all " the dominance right",which they can be able to get.At this stage ,the gender inequality, especially gender inequality in China is no longer the inequality of political rights, but the inequality which handed down by the continuity of history and culture of inertia.Therefore,we recommended that women ,themselves ,must face up to the fact that "in the long history ,the women has been at a disadvantage and the gender inequality which handed down by the continuity of history and culture of inertia can not be suddenly changed overnight."To give up looking for reasons from men,and no longer put the men in the opposite side as the women in the oppression status.Especially in the field of the family study, the view that men are in the opposite side of women can not bring happy to family, let alone bringing complete liberation to women.Based on the fact that women have been received the legal and political equality with men on the status, the Chinese study should abandon the non-constructive opinon that "men and their ruling are the root causes of women's unfortunate."The fundamental factors which decides the status of women in the family should be re-analyzed,we should have a correct understanding of the relationship between the sexes within the family, and take cooperative and more effective strategy to get a higher level of gender equality.Therefore, I think it is very important for the family study to re-analysis the fundametal factors which influence the family status of women at this stage.The improving of women status is a widespread phenomenon in the contemporary society,on Chinese women,the most significant women status improving is the women of the economic development city,therefore,the studying of the family status changes of Chinese urban women, and to give an reasonable explanation of the improving of the urban women family status are not only in favor of having a correct understanding of the improving of the Chinese city women's family status, but also in favor of having a correct understanding of China's overall social status improving of women,thus making it beneficial to the liberation of all the women,including city women.In this artical, the city women is the focus analysis unit, I organized and collected some recent years'large-scale research projects survey data which can reflect the family status of city men and women. with the support of these empirical data,taking the case of women gaining the family power for typical example,using the method of qualitative analysis, combined with changes in the Chinese family system, I take a dapth analysis of the underlying causes for the women's family status improving. On the purposes of the research,this article takes a criticle attitude towards the traditional women's study,and adopts a neutral institutional research attitude.On the framework of the resrearch, I do not take the physical, economic, cultural and other single factor for the root causes which detemines the improving of the women's family status. but take a comprehensive system causes for the root causes to explain the improving of women's family status.On the research methods, instead of static description,I analyse the reasones why the city women's family status are improving in the dynamic process of the changes from the traditional family to the modern family.Instead of taking the appearance of the improving of their ability for the explaination, I take the family institution for the clues to give an institution interpretation to the improving of the city women's family status.Combined with the family structure, function, system of horizontal dimension of the longitudinal changes, I reveals the underlying causes of the improving of the city women's family status.The system changes of the family at this stage is reflected in three aspects:the smaller family structure, family function in the society and the democratization of the family system.the improving of the city women's family status are supported by the changes in these three areas on different levels.the smaller of the family structure-the number of per capita households decline, the uncear family become the dominant trend,and the nuclear family make the women have more speech right,decision-making right and home rule-making right in the unclear family,except the husband.The socialization of the family function– with the TV and other modern facilitices complete and the development of social service, society take some commitment which should be take by the family,so that women get more energy and time,and it is impossible for women to go out of home and go into the society.And all this enabled women to obtain income, accessed to economic independence, and make the status of women have a further improve.On the democratization of the family institution,women obtain greater autonomy (autonomy marriage, reproductive autonomy, etc.)with the democratization of the marriage system, reproductive system, the succession system. and because of the democratization of the the succession system, women get the equal right to access to the same inputs and training with men,and women have almost the same starting point and the development potential with men,these made it possible for women to have access to occupational and income.In a word, the improving of the women's society status can not be separated from the family's support in contemprary stage. Just because of the changes of the family,the women's role in the family can play a full,and be well sure. It is also because of changes in the family,women are liberated well from families,be able to enter the society.The improving of women family status is the basis of the improving of the women society status.And the improving of the women's family status can not be separated from the benefits with the changes of the family.The family changes including family structure changes,family function changes,family system changes and so on,all these changes are the significant support factors for the improving of women's family status, and with all these support ,women go out of the family,and enter the field of society.
