2008 is a special year with increasing disasters in china. The disaster education is still deficient though it has been emphasized afterwards. Meanwhile, as the main subject to teach disaster education in the middle school, geography is quite weak in such aspect. This article mainly analysizes the reason why the disaster education is so weak from the angle of geography, presents some ideas to strengthen disaster education from the arrangement of teaching materials in disaster education and the detailed contents as well as practice, comparing the difference between Japan and our country; and gives some detailed solutions to strengthening disaster education in the geography classroom teaching as well as some practical examples.The author makes a research on the disaster education in the geography classroom teaching in middle schools in five aspects: literature summary, asking questions, analysizing questions, solutions and examples; and offers some correspondent suggestions. Chapterâ…¡,â…¢,â…£an: the main parts of the whole article.The author also holds the view that the disaster education should be a populized education to all of citizens in our country, and the middle school education is a good chance to populize it.
