With the development of curriculum reform and informationization of primary and high school education, great changes have taken place in IT education about its objects, teaching contents and curriculum system. IT teachers, as operators of IT education and key figures in building up the students' IT quality, are faced with completely new challenges. To go with the new task, IT teachers have to continuously upgrade their professional skills and improve their group quality.Through close study on real practices, this paper is intended to make some explorations on the present situations of the professional development of high school IT teachers, their problems and the correspondent countermeasures, expecting further research and creativity. Encouraged by the idea, the writer focuses on the following questions: What are the present situations of the high school IT teachers? How about their problems? And based on this, how to make the professional development in this subject?Centering these problems, this article adopts approaches of action research, document study, comparative research, case analysis, and questionnaire. With the background of New Curriculum Reform and the informationization of the fundamental education, it first makes an investigation about the present situation of IT teachers' professional development in high schools of N province through the research on the requirements for the professional development of middle school IT teachers during the of IT course reform. It discloses and analyzes the existing problems. Then exploration is made on the countermeasures and developmental assessment for the professional development of IT teachers. Finally, taking as an example the case study of M middle school of Jiangsu province, exploration is made, with the Culture Schoolyard background of M School, about foundation of IT teaching group mode, as well as the school curriculum on effective teaching policies with the help of Internet.
