Protected Values is an important component of the system of values, it is a class of value that unwilling or refuse to deal with other value. At present, the most research of Protected Values is stayting on the characteristics of it, its content studying in specific areas is also rarely. From the fact that the Chinese college students are in the current context of the value of diversity and "relations orientation" is a characteristic of the Chinese culture, the study researchs the content and features of Protected Values in relationships of Chinese college students.This study used interview method, questionnaire method, and other research methods, combined with expert groups discussing method and literature method, etc. The Protected Values in three pairs close relationship of college students have discussed in-depth study. On the basis of interview, opened questionnaire and literature , we establish the "Questionnaire of Protected Values in Relationships of College Students" . The survey questionnaire has six points, as: "Its-Assessment Questionnaire of Romantic Partner Relationship " , " Its-Assessment Questionnaire of Parent-Child Relationship", "Its-Assessment Questionnaire of Close Friendship Relationship ""Self-Assessment Questionnaire of Romantic Partner relationship ", "Self-Assessment Questionnaire of parent-child Relationship" and "Self-Assessment Questionnaire of Close Friendship Relationship". Six questionnaires conducted exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis to determine the internal structure of the questionnaires and test the validity of the questionnaires. Large sample survey questionnaire issued a total of 800, recovered 752 valid questionnaires. On the basis of the survey ,we analyzed the overall situation and characteristics of university students' Protected Values in the interpersonal relationships, and to explore the differences in the demographic variables.Through research, we found that:1. Protected Values in the interpersonal relationships can be appraised from intimate relationships of the six sides, as: In the romantic partner relationship, they consider the protected values that the other party should hold, including of moral values protection , future development protection, face protection and the protection of character; In the parent-child relationship, they consider the protected values that the other party should hold, including of social moral values protection, parents relationship protection and parent-child relationship protection; In the close friendship relationship, they consider the protected values that the other party should hold, including of friendship relations protection and social ethics protection; In the romantic partner relationship, they consider the protected values that themself should hold, including of moral responsibility, principle of relationship and values of affection; In the parent-child relationship, they consider the protected values that themself should hold, including of filial piety of dearness and filial piety of awe; In the close friendship relationship, they consider the protected values that themself should hold, including of harmful action and gernal principle;2. On the character of protected values, this study show the hypothesis that absoluteness of protected values is weakening, and also proved that protected values exist difference of the level of protection. At the same time, the study testified that protected values is not a subset of moral values, but a multi-dimension structure.3. Protected Values in the interpersonal relationships of university students have differedces in sex, whether the one-child and family structure, but no differences in professional, grade and family location, etc. Since the formation of the Protected Values is in itself a complex process, it is not only the life experiences and personal life environment, but also the social environment would impact the Protected Values' formation to a large extent. this study can not be sure the reason for these differences. This is an importment aspect of Protected Values study in the future.
