University instructor is a higher education groups, generally have the characteristics of rich reserve of knowledge, modernity strong, and consumption of high autonomy. Thus, they have unique characteristics and consumer culture in housing consumption behavior. Therefore, concerning university instructor group's housing consumption behavior has the important reality and the theory significance.Using the empirical way, through the empirical investigation of College staffs' housing consumption in Wuhan city, this study tries to understand the status of housing consumption, describes the behaviors and wishes of features, and carries out an exploration analysis to the possible influencing factor.Research shows that the Wuhan university instructor of the overall housing situation is well, the existence marketability tendency is not obvious. In housing consumption will, they show lots of consistency with its economic status, educational level and in line with modern standards of its group identity. The groups pay more attention to emotional value rather than material value, and pay more attention on the individual significance, rather than the social meaningIn the individual characteristic aspect, the occupational income-related indicators have a significant correlation with their housing situation and the purchase. The family children condition has the remarkable influence to its housing consumption wish. The university instructors in the market environment and housing consumption will significantly correlate. The university housing assignment's system environment and the university indicators housing consumption wish relations are close.
