Technology Choices Of Farmers Affected By The Social Economic And Cultural Factors

Since the second half of the last century, environmental issues are increasingly becoming the focus of global concern, while sustainable development issues have gradually become the challenges in the process of social development. China's environmental problems performance more severe, the environmental problems in China's rural areas are basically out of control. By selecting a typical western rural in China as the field study sites, this paper try to analyze the farmers' technology choices by the influence of rural social and cultural factors which have changed in the context of social transformation, and further, the technology choices have an impact on the natural environment, showing the specific relations among the rural social and cultural factors, technology choices (Environmental Action), and the natural environment in rural areas, and hope that this paper can provide a base for the future research. This paper holds that the social restructuring and the system transformation have affected a series of social and cultural factors which farmers living, and these social and cultural factors have affected the farmers' technology choices, that is, farmers' technology choices reflect the local farmers' cognition to the modern urban life and the market economy, this cognition performed in their pursuit of life in the future and in their practice technology choice. In this process, the rural social and cultural factors which have changed affected the technology choice of farmers, and the corresponding action, that is, the specific technology choices are affected and changed the natural environment in rural areas .
