While the enlargement since 1999 brings the high education in our country into the stage of "popularization", it also helps to highlight the problem of job hunting for college graduates. From the analysis of the overall employment situation in our country, it can be inferred that college graduates are faced with a severe environment as the supply exceeds the demand in the labor market. Meanwhile, a variety of factors such as economy restriction, society safeguard bottleneck, employment law deficiency, education system limitation, and employment values deviation brings about a current situation of combination of structural unemployment, organized unemployment and volunteered unemployment of undergraduate in our country. As an important part of the young reserved talents, college students is a young talent ranks of "high quality, high starting point and high expectation". Because of the particularity of their character, and the specialty in their employment behavior, if the employment problem of college graduates can not be properly solved, it is bound to cause instability and restrict the consistent development of society. Therefore, with a view of harmonious society construction, it is of great practical significance to solve college graduates' employment conflicts.In order to research the current employment status of our college students, the author has referred to a great deal of literature related to college graduates' employment. On the basis of this, positive policy and measures about college graduates' employment in USA and Japan are analyzed, and advanced concept and practice of those foreign educational powers are absorbed with a consideration of our social, historic background and the actual state of our higher education. Besides, the author has launched a questionnaire investigation, with the objects including undergraduates in Hunan University, Hunan Normal University, Railway College of Central South University, Hunan Agricultural University, Hunan Public Security College and Hunan International Economics University, together with some staff working in Party and government departments and public institutions. The investigation mainly covers the attitude of the society about current college graduates' employment situation, and the graduates' own ideas and wishes on employment. Meanwhile, the author have had an interview with public security working staff to get a better knowledge about the various social problems which might be evoked by the problem of graduates' employment.From the analysis of the college students' characteristics, and the specialty in their employment behavior, this dissertation had covered the current graduates' employment status and kinds of social problems that might be caused by graduates' employment conflict, with an address on the variance of employment mechanism, change of social mentality, and a comparison of graduates' employment ratio of different areas, universities, different majors and educational levels. Combined with the results of questionnaire investigation, it concluded the actual reasons of why the difficult employment happened on the graduates, and formed "undergraduate's employment is a combination of structural unemployment, organized unemployment and volunteered unemployment of undergraduate, under the supply over demand employment environment" and so on. On the question of solving graduates' difficult employment, it each puts forward some strategies from the standpoint of government,high school,employment company and university student.
