Chinese Language Curriculum Criterion of Nine-year Compulsory Education: Language course should devote to the formation and development of students' Chinese quality. Chinese quality is the base on which students can learn other curriculums well and the base of students' integrated and lifelong development.Beautiful ancient poems are essences of the Chinese nation's splendid culture, inside information of the humanistic spirit and excellent material of modeling Chinese national spirit. Leading students inherit rich cultural heritage by reading ancient poems, which has important sense on arousing their patriotism enthusiasm, raising their national confidence and pride.Comprehensively using literature search, action research, comparative study, case study, investigation and study and experience summary etc. this paper did theory search and applying practice research.Research showed that ancient poems teaching in the middle school can pass down national spirit, accumulate national culture, shape national character, cultivate and enhance the language abilities of middle school students. Reading method, comparison method and investigative learning of special subject are all effective ways of achieving ancient poems teaching values above.
