The Renaissance is a significant and large-scale movement of thought and cultural liberation in the European history. It is a revolution of the European emerging bourgeoisie, in which they changed the feudalism theology ideologically by inheriting, learning from and making use of the classical civilization of the ancient Greek and Rome. This revolution helped break the shackles of feudalism and the religious theology of nearly a millennium, which brings the prosperity of science and culture, so it is a great liberation movement of thought. As Engels termed it as "the greatest progressive revolution that mankind has ever experienced". Some great humanists and educationalists in the period of Renaissance actively advocated the humanism and the establishment of new education system, which has a positive effect on the movement of the Renaissance. This paper mainly researches on the teachers in the period of Renaissance from the perspective of humanist education.This paper is made up of five parts. In the first part, the author introduced the social conditions of the Renaissance and guiding principles of Renaissance. The focus of this part is the social environment of Renaissance from the perspective of politic, economy and culture. At the same time, the author also briefly introduced the guiding principles of the Renaissance-humanism, and humanist education and so on.The second part is about the introduction of issues concerning early Renaissance teachers, which mainly includes the retrospect of the problems concerning teachers in the ancient and medieval period of time, the educational condition of the early Renaissance period and the educational institutions. But discussed in the various educational institutions teachers, focuses on primary and secondary education teachers and university teachers.The third part introduces the latter Renaissance teachers, including, the educational condition of the later period of Renaissance and teachers in various educational institutions. While discussing teachers in various educational institutions, the teachers selected are mainly from primary and secondary education institutions and some are from universities.The fourth part introduces the views of humanist educators. Four famous humanist educators are selected as the subjects of study; they are Erasmus, Francois Rabelais, Mulcaster and Montaigne. The author analyzed views about teacher in detail.The fifth part is mainly about the progressive of humanist teacher in the period of Renaissance. Basing on the detailed analysis of those characteristics, in this part, the author tried to summarize their progressive.
