Renaissance is the interim from medieval to modern of Europe. During this period, there are a series of changes in many aspects of Italy, such as social economic and political et. And as the important part of the Italian social life-the universities evidently changed.Many Italian cities established their own university in Renai-ssance. There were sixteen in all, including Bologna, Catania ,Ferrara , Florence, Macerata , Messina , Naples , Padua , Parma , Pavia , Perugia, Pisa ,Rome ,Salerno ,Siena ,Turin . This paper focuses on the sixteen universities.The universities of Renaissance Italy were differed from other western-European universities, so in this paper, I defined the Italian university and analyzed the different kinds of universities and the organization of professors at first, then according to the classification of modern discipline, I divided the curriculum into three types: humanities, social science and natural science. After that, I analyzed the training of the students and the organization of-. students . By above-mentioned analysis, I generalized the features of the-universities of Renaissance Italy. Humanism emerged in this period, the humanists played the most important role in all aspects of social life. So in the last part of my paper, I analyzed the humanists join theuniversity. Although the university didn' t become the heart of humanism , the humanists influenced many things by training students and writing books. The universities of Italian Renaissance made their contributions to the Renaissance.
