Study On Work-Family Bidirectional Conflict Among Professional Women

With the rapid development of economic and the improving of education in China, more and more women began to engage in the professional job or act as managers. But the traditional ideology determined professional women must involve in both family work. As the drastic competition in society, the life pace stepped up, the psychological stress widened. So this enforced professional women with work family conflict in their career life.This paper based on the previous research results with the two dimensions of work-family conflict and family-work conflict, constructed a bi-directional work family conflict model among professional women, put forward four hypothesizes and each hypothesis has one small hypotheses, such as the bi-directional work family conflict condition among professional women, the relation between stressors of professional women and the bi-directional work family conflict, and etc.By working on the result of work family balance questionnaire, we know the work family conflict condition among professional women, the work stressors and their satisfaction. We make descriptive statistics analysis, factor analysis, variance analysis, regression analysis and structural equation model research methods by using SPSS and AMOS, and analyze the bi-directional work family conflict condition, the relation between work family stressors and bi-directional work family conflict, and the relation between bi-directional work family conflict and their satisfaction of professional women. Then the hypotheses are verified. The work-family conflict is higher than the family-work conflict among professional women; there is remarkable positive relation between work stressors and work-family conflict among professional women; there is remarkable positive relation between family stressors and family-work conflict among professional women; the work stressors is higher than the family stressors of professional women; there is remarkable negative relation between work-family conflict and work satisfaction of professional women; there is remarkable negative relation between family-work conflict and family satisfaction among professional women. Finally, by discussing with the research conclusion, we propose several measures to relieve work family conflict through the organizations, professional women'family, professional women themselves and social perspective. These measures will help professional women adjust their work and life condition much better, and improve the entire satisfaction of them.
