Training talents is the most basic and important function of higher education. Furthermore the training of undergraduates is the core of talents cultivation. Currently, China's undergraduates cultivation exist some problems. First, the pursuit of professional education that is too practical and utilitarian, results in the loss of professional development's fertile soil and foundation. Second, the quality of education had been already rectifying professional education and improving the quality of the humanities but it becomes merely formal and doesn't really play its effectiveness. On condition that the students development one-sidedly or become one half-man. Therefore it is extremely urgent and necessary to carry out harmony education. And then foster the fusion of both science and humanity, promote the students development harmoniously and comprehensively.Firstly, the thesis traces the concept and features of harmony education. Harmony education is a kind of concept which can eliminate the barriers between professional education and general education, humanity and science then realize the prosperity of education through diversity. And it has some features and functions such as diversity, human nature and middlebrow. And then the thesis analyses loss of harmony education in the program which embodies in some aspects: Convergence objectives, the lack of personality; Training requirements and curriculum, imbalance; rigid the length of schooling, the lack of flexibility.Finally, we try to carry out harmony education into the undergraduate programs from the following aspects: implementing harmony concept, establishing various training objectives, rebuilding up broad and selected curriculum, diversifying the way of training talent, reforming the length of schooling scientific. Thus the conception of harmony education is accordant with practice of it.
