Research On Protection Mechanism Of Autonomous Right Of University In China

It is a primary principle in higher educational management that autonomy of university, which is one of significant means of protecting development of higher education. After reform and opening up in our nation, our government has been giving the autonomy right to university on basis of laws and policies, and authorized by Educational Law and Higher Educational Law, the university is an independent corporation with possession of more autonomous right. But in reality, the situation is not as same as what is expected. So, how to protect autonomous right of university is a significant subject of academic research.In this thesis, with the beginning of analyzing the conception of autonomy of university and autonomous right of university, the situation, problems and causes of autonomous right of university are researched. Then according to protection means of other country in higher educational reform and the situation in China, the protection mechanism of autonomous right of university is designed, which includes five aspects: improving educational laws, constituting university statute, developing intermediary organization and setting up the governance structure of university.Certainly, how to protect autonomous right of university involves many aspects, and the five aspects above is not a final and perfect solution. It is only an attemption in this thesis, aiming to protect autonomous right of university by means of effective management methods.
