Physical practice is a very important part of curriculum resources. Doing physical exercise and bearing some physical pressure are the major characteristics differing from cultural curriculum. Some problems arise in the domains that physical practice is concerned. The new curriculum reform has shed some light on the domains of physical practice, while traditional physical education theories and textbooks have not discussed such issues further. Thus the understanding of physical practice becomes one of the most important topics to be explored in the context of the new curriculum reform. This thesis intends to explore the issues of the four domains and tries to answer eight research questions in the context of physical education curriculum reforms:Domain 1: the understanding of technology and skill;Domain 2: the understand of the teaching theories of the Three New Basics;Domain 3: the understanding of the organization system of physical education materials;Domain 4: the understanding of physical events becoming teaching materials and contents. Research Questions:1. Can only physical practice that draws full potential be called technology?2. Can technology be defined in terms of methods?3. How the understand the new technology? How to understand the rationale of replacing technology by adding methods in the New Three Basics?4. What's the significance of adopting the Three New Basics in the curriculum?5. What are the changes of the organizations system of physical teaching materials?6. How to understand the organization system based on competitive events?7. What are the procedures of physical events becoming teaching materials?8. What are the major contents of the cultivating physical education resources and its significance for the new curriculum reform? The above four domains and eight research questions forms the basic outline of this thesis. By exploring such issues the author intends to provide new understanding in the following three areas:1. To provide the new demands for the students based on the new Three Basics and promote students' ability of putting new theories and knowledge into practice.2. To explore the basic procedures and contents of cultivating physical teaching resources under the three—level curriculum management and thus promote the quality of physical education.3. To get a new understanding of teacher's status, roles and functions in the physical education reform.
