Paulo Freire(1921——1997),a Brazilian,is one of influential educationalists now in the world.He is also the inaugurator and executant of"the Third Revolution"of educational theory history after Herbart and Dewey.From 1994 to 1995,UNESCO introduced 100 educationalists including Confucius,Aristoteles etc in Education View for 4 issues.Freire is one of the four educationalists in life and is regarded as"Legend in life".Freire studied education for a long time in Latin America and Africa, brought forward Pedagogy of the Oppressed including the important thought of Dialogic Teaching. Just basing on it I finished my thesis.In this thesis I discuss detailedly Paulo Freire's life, Dialogic Teaching's meanings and sum up the theory's kernel,analyse it's influence on our teaching reform for four parts. In the first part of the thesis I discuss briefly Paulo Freire's life,masters and influence. In the second part of the thesis I study Dialogic Teaching's meanings including the essential,i.e change the world;the conditions,i.e equality,love,humility trust,hope and thinking;the character,i.e reciprocity,excitability,cooperation,liberation;the soul,i.e humanization.In the third part of the thesis I discuss Paulo Freire's Dialogic Teaching's revelation to China teaching process,teaching method,teaching behavior,teaching content.For teaching process Paulo Freire's Dialogic Teaching reveals us teachers and students are equal and teaching process should pay important attention to students'lives.For taeching method Paulo Freire's Dialogic Teaching reveals us teaching is a dialogic and creative action,is a process that teachers and students change the world together.For teaching behavior Paulo Freire's Dialogic Teaching reveals us how to get effective teaching behavior.For teaching content Paulo Freire's Dialogic Teaching reveals us teaching content should be choised by teachers and students together.
