The Research On Typical Cases Of Multimedia Technology In Assisting Senior English Teaching

Science and Technology is under rapid development in the 21^st century. Nowadays, a technical reform mainly in the development of IT and science is carried out in the whole world. Computers have taken a very important role in the modern society. It is the same to educational field. And CAI has become the key tool in teaching in the high school and the research on it has become the central field.Class teaching is the main teaching model in our country. Therefore, the application of the CAI should be based on class teaching, combining indoor class teaching rules and students' learning mind with the function of Multimedia. But we should remember that CAI serves class teaching not control it. Only by this method can we perfect the teaching process to ensure the quality of learning and achieve the teaching aim.At the very beginning, this paper analyses the necessity and objectivity of traditional English teaching model and summaries four mistakes in senior English teaching assisted by multimedia as follows, combining the new course standards and seven-year teaching experiences of the writer. Firstly, multimedia play the leading role instead of assisting in teaching; secondly, the lack of communication in English between teachers and students; Thirdly, less motivation in students' thinking space; Fourthly, using abstract mind instead of visual mind. Besides, it also analyses the close connection between traditional English teaching and English teaching assisted by multimedia.Secondly, this paper proves the importance of the assistance of multimedia in Science reading comprehension, art taste training and ability promotion through 3 typical cases with the help of relative CAI theories and research conditions home and abroad nowadays.Last but not the least, the writer draws a conclusion that the promotion of teachers' qualities is the key to the best combination of multinedia and present English teaching.The writer predicts 3 fields in applicating multimedia in the future English teaching:1, Listening and speaking English training by multimedia2, Immediate testing system to feedback the result of students' learning3, Skill training in gaining high marks in fast reading...
