The identity is the important contents which could not be neglected by society organization in 21 century. At present, competitive company and not-earning organizations pay much more attention to building organization identity. At the same time, with the development and widely application of network technique, network technique and network identity of organization have become the focus of social organization and academic circles. The University's information center is responsible for programming and constructing of infrastructure in digital campus, which is a organization for providing safely, credible, high-speed and stability safeguard of technique and for providing convenient and stable network environment and abundant network information for teaching, researching and management. The identity of the university's information center includes some factors such as the network working well or not and its service will be excellent or bad. So, the identity of university's information center whether excellent relate to the development of the university infrastructure whether well, level of teaching and management whether advanced, moreover, which relate to students educated by university whether adapt to demand of modern society. Building and managing the identity of the information center in university is the most important contents of the university developing works.The research took Southwest University as an example and researched the strategies to improving the identity of information center in university. After referencing the research of domestic and international related research and combining the service characteristics of the university's information center and network, we built the model of the identity of university's information center, then formed the "The Questionnaire on the Identity of Information Center of Southwest University" and investigated 700 people in Southwest University, returned 596 valid questionnaires, finally we got the present condition and characters of the identity of the information center of Southwest University. The concrete research result as follows: 1. The identity of the information center of Southwest University was an organic system of multidimensional and multifactor system, which could be defined through tree dimensions of subject, object and the relations between them. Each dimension was formed by six factors: the circulation of network, the maintenance of network, the circulation principle of network, the service principle of network, the service attitude of network, the design of website.2. According to the construction theory of information center identity of Southwest University, we formed the "The Questionnaire on the Image of Information Center of Southwest University", in which the internal concordance reliability, split-half reliability, content validity, construct validity were favorable. The questionnaire could be the instrument for evaluating the image of university's information center.3. From the research of the works in information center, interviewee give better evaluation to the image of information center of Southwest University, and there was no gender, age and education level difference in their evaluating.4. From the teachers and students' perspective, there was no gender difference in their evaluating to the image of information center of Southwest University. But they showed age, education level and occupation obvious difference in the evaluation of information center of Southwest University.5. In general, the information center of Southwest University was placed in the general level. We must find some strategy to improving it. The suggestion from subject-dimensional include in enlarging input of network construction, developing the identity consciousness of the works in information center of Southwest University, changing service principle, unifying service behavior, improving the design effect of website. The suggestion from object-dimensional include in enhancing the service consciousness for the students, improving the service quality for the liberal arts students, improving the service for the junior class students. The suggestion from the third dimension mainly focused on reinforcing the communication between exterior and interior public and power of propagandize on the knowledge of network.It's a new perspective to research the identity of university's information center from these three dimensions. Then this research made systematic divisions into six factors of the identity of university's information center, which could be reference for the future researches. This research which adopted demonstration research methods, the paper not only enriches the demonstration research methods in this field, but also is a trail in the ration research of corporate identity.
