The Research On Constructing And Perfecting Supporting System For Poor Students In Colleges And Universities Of Our Country

At present, the problem of poor students in colleges and universities has become a social problem which is concerned with the government, society, parents, school, and the students themselves. To solve this problem, our government, colleges and universities and other social communities have constructed a preliminary diversified supporting system after years of hard working. This system was mainly composed by scholarship, student loans, work-study, special difficulties supporting fee and tuition remission. Actually, this system has really solved many problems of poor students. However, we know that this supporting system is not a perfect one, which has many aspects to be perfected. Such as insufficient social communities support, inadequate sprit support, low development of the national student loans, incomplete related laws, unsound subsidy system. If these problems have not been solved timely and effectively, many aspects of the society will be affected. Such as healthy growth of the poor students, equalization of the education opportunities, fairness of the society, and the stability of the colleges & universities and the whole society. Therefore, it has the important practical significance to construct and perfect the supporting system for poor students in colleges and universities of our country.In this paper, we try to construct a supporting system for poor students with a new style and more reasonable and comprehensive structure by using literature and consulting the available literature data, and by carefully tidying up the previous research results so as to help the poor students to finish their university degree successfully and grow up healthily.This paper is divided into five parts. Part One: Introduction. It introduced the paper's topics, research ideas and research methods, as well as the status of research, and also the related concepts were defined.Part Two: Analysis of the status of supporting system for poor students in colleges and universities of our country. By analyzing"poor students in colleges and universities of our country","ways of supporting for poor students in colleges and universities of our country"and"supporting system for poor students in colleges and universities of our country", we pointed out the necessity of constructing and perfecting the supporting system for poor students in colleges and universities of our country. And it mainly explain that"why"we should construct and perfect the supporting system for poor students in colleges and universities of our country.Part Three: To discuss the basis of constructing and perfecting the supporting system for poor students in colleges and universities of our country from the levels of theory and practice. Hereby, we pointed out that the theoretical basis are education cost-sharing theory, necessary level theory, and system theory. While its practice basis is the domestic and foreign-funded successful experience.Part Four: To study the measures and suggestions of constructing and perfecting the supporting system for poor students in colleges and universities of our country from four main parts of the system itself, country, colleges, society and poor students. First, the government should increase financial input so as to establish a good policy environment. Second, colleges and universities should regulate their specific funding work so as to perfect the supporting system. Third, the social communities should actively participate in the supporting work. Finally, the poor college students should also strengthen their individual quality construction.Part Five: Conclusion. The supporting work for the poor students in colleges and universities is a long-term work. And the construction of the supporting system is also an open and advancing process, we need to keep exploring, completing and perfecting and we also need the efforts of all the communities of the society. The problem of whether the theoretical study can improve the existing system and to solve the problems of the poor students in the colleges and universities has yet to be tested in the practice.
