Study On Relation Among Senior School Students' Learning Motivation, Learning Strategy And Learning Achievement

Learning motivation, Learning strategy is the extremely important mechanism which influences every aspect of study directly. Learning motivation is a kind of inner initiating mechanism that can stir up individual to carry through study and make it toward a certain target. Learning strategy is procedure, rule, method, technique and the manner of adjustment to make the learner study effectively in the study activity. Learning achievement is the result that individual acquires through certain knowledge or the technical training and study. It often represents the individual mental trait increases in the knowledge, technique or certain ability. Stirring up students'learning motivation, ameliorating learning strategy and improving learning achievement is the central topic which is probed into by researchers in the process of elementary schools'and high schools'teaching practice. Study on the relation among learning motivation, learning strategy and learning achievement is advantageous for us to know learning motive and learning strategy further, and walk out from mistake of study motive theory research and learning strategy practice. This text researches the relation among high school students' learning motivation, learning strategy and learning achievement in order to provide some basis for education practice and also provide theory reference for improving students'study achievement.There are two main parts in my study: theory overview part and statistics analysis part. The theory overview part mainly analyzes the concept of learning motivation, categorize, some matured theories and the content of learning strategy . In statistics analysis part, I invite 373 senior school students in Shenyang city for my study object, take the learning Process Questionnaire (LPQ)created by Biggs and the Learning Strategy Questionnaire compiled by researcher on the foundation of consulting internationally Questionnaire and combining the actual circumstance of our country. And I use covariance software of the SPSS10.0 to deal with data., and then use descriptive statistics, t text, variance, correlation analysis, multiple regression to test a set of hypothesis, make the following conclusions:1.High school students' learning motivation and learning strategy have a characteristic of staggered development that study motivation learning strategy degrade gradually with the grades growing up. It is not difficult to comprehend contacting realistic circumstance: Under our country's examination-oriented education system, heavy course mission weakened the students'enthusiasm; students study utility is aggravated day by day, the end target of study is just for passing examination to enter into good university, but seldom pay attention to the interest of knowledge. Under this circumstance, learning strategy is more neglected all the more.2. The high school students' learning motivation significant sex difference,but the sex difference of learning strategy is not significant. It mainly because that the developmental characteristics and character characteristics of male and female students'mentality and physiology is very different. On the stage of high school, the developmental speed of male and female student's mentality and physiology tend to be identical. At that time they have the same interest in study, so their study motivation are more similar. But because the girls' personality is more stable, when this kind of motivation is put into effect, the female student' learning strategy degree will be obviously higher than male students'. Therefore, at present educator who is carrying on teaching students should train students' learning motivation and learning strategy according to sex difference.3.Correlation and multiple regression confirms that learning motivation and learning strategy can influence learning achievement. So, the students who have strong interest in the contents of study, and want to improve their ability would choose appropriate study method as best as they can. The study motivation degree is higher, the consciousness of training themselves is stronger, and learning achievement is also better. 4. Learning strategy influences learning motivation significantly. If the usage degree of students'learning strategy is higher, they will obtain success, and then their self-confidence will be strengthened. So learning strategy can intensify study motivation. Therefore, in the teaching process, teacher should train students'learning strategy to acquire successful experience, and then improve their interest in study.5. Learning achievement influences study motivation significantly. learning achievement acts on learner directly through influences their study enthusiasm. It maybe because: students'learning achievement is higher, their effort of paying out and harvest of obtaining is proportion, their learning motive will be enhanced, their new study demand will be consolidated, making students engage in aftertime study activity with higher study enthusiasm. In this way, study needs and learning achievement promote mutually, consequently, it becomes the benign cycle in study.At the background of present education system, that "How to improve the students' learning ability effectively" is the end target that numerous researchers pursue. Thus research on learning motivation and learning strategy which have important relation with learning achievement, has important theories and realistic meaning for stirring up students'learning motivation, ameliorating learning strategy, improving study achievement, and achieving the target of elements education.
