The breakthrough in the reform of new art curriculum is that comprehensive and exploring study domain has been added. In the opinion of the author, viewing to adapt with that, comprehensive art teaching should be promoted with great effort since it has overcome the various disadvantages of traditional art teaching as basing on discipline, paying attention to skill training but not to the study of art culture, and so on. The reform and development process of new curriculum, simultaneously is the process for art teachers to optimize their knowledge and promote their cultivation. The reform of new art curriculum will provide broad development and creation space for art teachers. However, it will also simultaneously set a higher requirement for art teachers in the aspects as knowledge structure, teaching ability, cultural education, and so on.As a result of historical reason and traditional ideas, art teachers can not adapt to the teaching after new curriculum reform, especially weak in comprehensive teaching, therefore, art teachers may face with more confusion in teaching practice. Based on this, the author regards comprehensive teaching as a kind of curriculum pattern with a view to provide theory basis for accomplishment promotion of art teachers. This article takes the present situation of the art teachers as basic research point, accomplishment promotion of the same as requirement and deepening the reform of comprehensive teaching as goal. With the principle of finding problem—analyzing the problem—studying the problem—solving the problem, methods of questionnaire survey and interview commonly used in demonstration research, by collecting and integrating related data, analyzing and exploring the crux of the problem, being based on the promotion of teachers' own accomplishment and in light of the need of the teachers, so as to find a practical and feasible solution and improvement method, and go out of predicament together with the art teachers to adapt to new curriculum teaching and display talent in the tide of new curriculum reform.
