Teaching model is a bridge between teaching principles and teaching practices. Because it's the use of teaching principle, and the summation of the teaching practice. The research on the teaching models of our country began in the 1980s, and today we are in a new stage whose main mission is to construct new teaching models. During the new stage, our task is to put forward some improvements on teaching models or find out some experience according to modern pedagogy from the classical teaching models in order to overcome the defects of today's teaching models. The Wei-Jin and Southern-Northern Dynasties were called as the second 'contention of a hundred schools of thought' in the history of China, for their characteristic of teaching and effective teaching. This study attempted to deduce some teaching models from the teaching thought during the Wei-Jin and Southern-Northern Dynasties in order to put forward some experience to construct the new teaching models. There are 'pure conversations teaching model', 'parent and teacher combined teaching model', 'question oriented teaching model' and 'family memo oriented teaching model'.The whole paper consists of five parts:Part one, Introduction. It generally introduces reasons and significances of the research, present situation of the research, thought and methods of the research.Part two, The connotation of teaching models. Teaching model is a stable process teaching activity which found on a certain theory to guide students study by flexible teaching methods for a special teaching purpose. Teaching models have four parts, and there are certain theories, teaching objectives, and operating procedures. Teaching models reveal the intrinsic link between the various stages and the steps.Part three, The background of the Wei-Jin and Southern-Northern Dynasties. It illustrates the effects of the politics, economics and culture from the Ninth-class Official System, Men-Fa Officials, and cultural pluralism.Part four, The major teaching models of the Wei-Jin and Southern-Northern Dynasties. There are 'pure conversations teaching model', 'parent and teacher combined teaching model', 'question oriented teaching model' and 'family memo oriented teaching model'. Every teaching model is mainly summarized and explained from certain theories, objectives of teaching, teaching methods and operating process.Part five, The general features and enlightenment of the teaching models in the Wei-Jin and Southern-Northern Dynasties. The features are as follows: to pursuit the meaning of real life, to concern the subjectivity and motives of students, pay more attention to practical teaching methods which embody the unity of cognition and continuity. The general characters have important enlightenment on building the new teaching models in today's period.
