Abstract/Summary:
In recent years, with the rapid development of multimedia technology and people's raising awareness of multimedia teaching, multimedia teaching in the field of education has become a hot spot of teaching reform. Courseware tools and technology is ever increasing, from the production of simple electronic lesson plans to produce multimedia courseware integrated of video, audio, animation, text, graphics to performance teaching content. Multimedia teaching have broader space for development.At the same time, colleges and universities invest a lot of money building and maintenance of multimedia classroom, and extensively carried out a multimedia teaching practice. However, while the multimedia courseware as the product of modern educational technology, teaching in institutions of higher learning to be large-scale application, but there are still various issues, such as improper use, poor design. In order to improve the utilization of educational resources and the use of multimedia courseware, we must conduct Courseware Design Optimization, and improve timely summary of multimedia teaching.The investigation and study has been undertaken first on the use of multimedia in teaching in the classroom. And inspected and learned from some multimedia courseware. Had an understanding of the current situation and the level of Multimedia Courseware Design and problems, and focused on multimedia information representation this specific aspect in this research. On the basis of the theories like multimedia learning, visual thinking, multimedia screen language, the design scheme of multimedia teaching information representation has been advanced, including design principles of information representation, the process and specific strategies of information representation design.Based on the analysis of features and advantages of multimedia information representation, I designed and developed courseware of the curriculum "Fundamentals of Computers", and have been together with the teachers in courses teaching practice. Then I collected feedback through the surveys on students and interviews on teachers.According to the previous feedback in practice, I focused on the design of the structure of teaching information for proposed the organizational structure from top to bottom to improve, and went on the courseware design. At the same time, in view of study for students after school and the needs of students according to the different learning styles, improved teaching information representation design again, and made after-school self-study materials to offset the disadvantages of classroom teaching. Finally I acquired evaluation of multimedia courseware by rating scales for teachers and students respectively. It confirmed the effectiveness of the design scheme and the strategies. The results show that the design scheme of multimedia information representation conforms to the law of multimedia learning, and accords with the demands of multi-media learning to a certain extent.
