After the Opium War,the influx of powers, and then divide up much faster time. Facing increasingly serious internal and external problems, China—the drowsy ancient nation in the late 19th century has finally begun awakening. In order to maintain the rule of the Qing dynasty, the Qing government launched the reform measures, including education, in order to save themselves. With the call of the Qing government, Fengtian local authority has introduced corresponding changes. As an important part of the education, Industry Education has become the northeastern region to explore our country. Nearly 17 years'development in the late Qing Dynasty, Fengtian's Industrial Education grew gradually. It not only promoted the development of Fengtian's Industrial Education and Industrial Development, also played a positive role in promoting the Modernization of Fengtian region. This thesis mainly includes three parts—the preamble, the body and the conclusion.The preamble introduces the current academic researches, the statement of this thesis's ideas and innovation, and definition of the core concept to research time, research geography and industrial education.The second part is the main body. Chapter I analyzes the continual development of the traditional education before and during the Mid-Qing Dynasty and the seeds of the modern education. Before the Qing Dynasty, after the development of 1,000 years, the traditional feudal education has become a comprehensive educational system, including school officials, private school and college. However, with the gradual decline of the feudal system, the defects of the traditional education system are gradually exposed. Particularly, facing the increasingly serious national crisis, the sustain role of the traditional education disappears. At this time, a new education system—the modern education system is quietly rising. In this situation, the development of the traditional educational in Fengtian emerged cracks. A series of modern educational institutions (private schools, colleges) emerged. The new changes in Fengtian's traditional educational institutions and education methods create conditions for the future industrial development.Chapter II analyzes the development and operation of the Industrial Education in Fengtian. Starting from the end of the Qing Dynasty, the Industrial Education in Fengtian developed slowly. By 1931, Fengtian region has initially established the primary, intermediate and advanced industrial education system, various Industrial School were also established. Immediately after the establishment of the Industrial School, a series of educational activities centering Xingxueyucai aroused and trained a group of industry professionals for Fengtian. Of course, the running of the Industrial School is also a focus of this chapter. Due to limited space, this chapter is written mainly centering on the three aspects of school funding, teacher sources, and teaching and learning activities. In funding, Fengtian Industrial Education is mainly funded by the government, the public and supplemented by a small number of private schools and self-financing. Teachers were from the Fengtian region and external people at home and abroad and focused on local teachers. As for teaching, it basically adhered to the Qing government's divisions and the Constitution promulgated in the Government for the Ministry of Education. Sometimes it was also applied in accordance with the actual situation in the region flexibly.Chapter III is mainly about the regional characteristics of Fengtian education's development and its relation to Fengtian's modernization. Starting in internal and external problems, the development of Fengtian Industrial Education can not shake off the restrictions of the times and geographical conditions. During the 17 years of development history, Fengtian Industrial Education showed a strong geographical characteristics, ie: the stability of performance resulting from the relatively stable social environment; the uneven performance resulting from differences in the level of economics; the various performance resulting from the diverse needs of the society; the limitation resulting from the regional social factors. The development of Fengtian Industrial Education prepared for its Modernization. The development of Industrial Education not only replenished China's modern education system, provided talent for Fengtian's social progress, promoted economic development in Fengtian region, but also promoted the traditional concept of"Zhong nong yi shang"and created conditions for Fengtian's modernization.The conclusion part is a summary of the development of Fengtian Industrial Education in this period. The author believes that, Fengtian Industrial Education is a product of the times. It developed quickly during the 17 years since the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. The Regional Education's patterns and models in Fengtian were also adjusted and changed correspondingly. Moreover, the Modernization of Fengtian Industrial Education was raised. However, the restrictions of the times and geography hindered the breadth and depth of the education development. When recalling the development course of Fengtian Industrial Education in that period, we should reflect its tortuous course and development mode mixed with joy and worry.
