The population of China will develop stably when we come into 21st century. Compare with the population number, other population factors will influence the future development of China day by day. As one of the important factors, distribution of population will also influence the stratagem plan of sustainable development of population, resource and environment.With the policy of rejuvenating northeast old industrial base, northeast China has got the second opportunity of development. However, due to the development history of northeast, this area still face a lot of troubles, such as the harmony of population, resource, environment and social and so on. The result of the troubles will effect the healthy development and harmony of area function in the future of northeast. Especially the problem of population sub-distribution will effect the sustainable development of environment of northeast, and further more effect the sustainable development of economy and society.My paper researched the subject of population distribution, sustainable development of resource and environment in the case of Luxiang town, a common town in mid-northeast. Thanks to the special industry and resource advantage, Luxiang town in Shuangyang district of Changchun has had a typical character and condition of a common town. Therefore, to research population distribution in Luxiang town is typical and representative to Jilin province, even to northeast area. It has a key significance to economy development and redressal of industry structure in northeast.The paper was based on demology and GIS space analyse technic, referred to statistic data in economy and society area, used basic point of sustainable development, researched the history and actuality of population, nature, economy and society's development in the town. And then discussed and analyzed the subject above, revealed the interior relationship among entironment, economy level and population distribution. On this foundation, I forecasted the trend of the change of population distribution in the area and make suggestions to sub-distributed the population in reason.There are 5 partss of the paper in total:Part 1 is introduction. It mainly explained the research purpose and meaning of the paper, illuminated the research method, research structure and data origin, and defined the region range.Part 2 is theory foundation of the paper. It mainly defined the concept of population distribution and concept concerned. And it introduce some theories concerned so as to explain the theory foundation. Population distribution usually has the character of regionally, otherness, imbalance and stability. It is effected by birth, death and transfer directly, is effected by nature and economy indirectly. Furthermore, it is related to region and environment close.Part 3 is analyse of actuality and character of Luxiang town. It mainly reviewed the situation of Luxiang town in 3 aspects: a. history vicissitude of population is the area; b. the whole situation of Luxiang town; c. the population and the distribution of Luxiang town. To analyze in the actuality, the single villages didn't have a big difference in population amount. But it is disproportion and had got a big difference when compared in the whole town.Part 4 is the analyse of the factor of effect from population distribution in Luxiang town, Shuangyang district. It mainly compared and analyzed the effect which entironment, policy factor and economy factor related to population distribution. To see from the entironment point, Luxiang town is very good, and is advantaged in characteristic industry and resource. But the excess exploitation of mine industry has resulted in badness of entironment. And soil resource is not equitable, northern part is different a lot from southern part. To see from the policy point, the socialism new country stratagem and the whole development blueprint of Changchun will effect the population distribution. Besides, the economy factor will also effect the transfer and distribution of population.Part 5 is the countermeasure. It mainly summed up the situation of Luxiang town from the analyse above. And then according to the economy situation, suggested that: The government should link population distribution and region economy seamlessly, promote sub-distribution; accelerate city and town-rization, make the sub-distribution reasonable; link town and village seamlessly, make the sub-distribution reasonable. Among them, accelerate the important carrier city and town-rization being able to boost population needing population and economic and social development city and town-rization action is pushed forward right away with the essential productive factors concentration , this. At the same time, be going to carry out the rational plan on rural area residential area , village and small town system , integrate.There is a conclusion in the paper through the research of population distribution of Luxiang town:The situation of Luxiang town tells the fact that the natural increase rate of this area is steady, but mechanical increase rate has risen faster and faster, at the same time the difference of population distribution in different areas is larger, and native people go outside gradually. There are a lot of residential areas, and they disperse comparatively.
