This laid the foundation of the popularity of SMS. At the time, the characteristics of SMS also make college students increasingly inseparable from the exchange and communication.The first part of this paper starts mainly from the connotation of "thumb culture". Firstly, the meaning of the "thumb culture" is introduced. This is the first step of the thesis. Secondly, three characteristics of the "thumb culture" are introduced, that is convenience and low price, implication and non-scene, timeliness and entertainment and so on.
