China's colleges'cooperation in running education, including schools established both in mainland China and in foreign countries, is an important part of China's higher education and also a significant act that China has taken to take part in the international cooperation and competition. For the last decade, cross-border cooperation in running education has been playing a special role in training compound and international talents, transmitting Chinese culture, and in elevating China's influence and competing power. However, while cross-border cooperation in running education is flourishing, many problems arise, some of which are even bottlenecks that restrict its healthy development, such as the imperfection of regulations on running cooperative schools and the lack of force in executing supervision on the rules and regulations. These problems make people concerned about the regulation on China's colleges'cooperation in running education.This thesis consists of five chapters that fall into four major parts.The first chapter, an introduction to the whole thesis, is the first part. It gives the raise of the issue, the research significance, a literature review, thoughts & methodologies and definitions of related concepts.The second part includes chapter two and chapter three. This part looks back on the origin and history of China's colleges'cooperation in running education, and also analyzes and induces its status quo and problems existing in it. This part attempts to give an overview on the regulation of China's colleges'cooperation in running education. It analyzes in great detail and with examples the problems in China's colleges'cooperation in running education and why these problems occur.Chapter four,the third part of the thesis, analyzes the features and experiences of Australia and Britain, two typical countries that export cross-border cooperation in running education, and Malaysia and Hong Kong, typical in importing cross-border cooperation in running education. This part with the analysis on other countries is a preparation for analyzing the case of China.On the basis of the above four research, chapter five, the fourth part, gives suggestions on perfecting China's regulation on its cross-border cooperation in running education in order to regulate and direct cross-border cooperation in running education and make it develop on the right way.The conclusion of the thesis: With the practise of"Introducing Personnel and Investment"in running schools and the process of China's entering into WTO, how to regulate China's colleges'cross-border cooperation in running education occurs; because of the diversification of running models, the dualism and the multi-causes of the providers, the problem of regulation increasingly; the key to introduce truly higher quality educaitonal resources and pretect the right of the students is to perfect the regulation of China's colleges cross-border cooperation in running education, strengthening government ability, bettering related rules and regulations and strengthen regulation.The specialties of the thesis: from a grand new point of view, that is regulation, the author looks back on the origin and history of China's colleges'cooperation in running education, analyzing and inducing its status quo and problems existing in it; the systemic research of China's colleges running education in a foreign country is a preliminary research of running education abroad.
